Michelle Gurevich approaches life with realism and resilience. On her latest album, It Was the Moment, she opens up more than ever before: the loss of her mother, mental health, with all its ups and downs. One thing is certain: her rock-folk music sweeps anyone who listens into a sea of reflection. Like Cohen or Aznavour, the Canadian artist takes us on a journey with pragmatism, like a fatalist who loves life despite everything.
Originally from Toronto, Ronley Teper is constantly experimenting. She blurs the boundaries between folk, jazz, cabaret and experimental pop with her collective The Lipliners. With songwriting, improvisation, humour, puppets and surreal detours, her live shows are genuine playgrounds. Somewhere between Frank Zappa and Tom Waits, anything can happen and the rules are there to be broken.
