Valentino Vivace lives in a refined and glamorous universe between Italo disco and 80’s pop, a sort of planet from another time, a world of his own from which a pleasant nostalgia emerges. Led by the lilting sounds of the beautiful Italian language, the tracks on his first album Meteoriti invite you to let go: both of your body and of your emotions.
Mr Giscard grew up in Guyana and then, at the age of 15, moved to France. Very quickly, music became his escape. With his piercing gaze, Valery dissects relationships, society and their contradictions – and in passing, his own. The words are almost whispered with a falsely naive phlegm; the audience becomes a confidant. As for the sound, we enjoy a minimalist groovy electro-pop, a boost to the traditional French song.
