Dominique A wanted his fourteenth album to be a collective one. Le Monde Réel was therefore worked on as a group: in the morning, the artist presented a guitar-vocal version to a selection of musicians, then began a melting pot of ideas for the arrangement. The result is a strong record, breathing honesty and sharing, and taking the world of the brilliant French artist a step further; one with a pen as subtle as it is eloquent. Photo: © Jérôme BONNET
Neil Young, Bob Dylan or The National, H-Burns‘ music echoes great names. Between folk and rock, the French artist blurs the lines to create a sensitive and contemplative world of American songs. On his latest album – his ninth already! – we find Dominique A on a melancholic ballad, Dark Eyes, which perfectly blends their two worlds.
