WHAT IS IT?

Docks is the name of a concert venue.

Docks opened in 2005.

Docks is a major cultural venue in French-speaking Switzerland.

Docks hosts music concerts.

These include pop, rock, rap, metal, electro, folk and chanson.

Docks also helps local artists to develop through a program called Pôle Suisse.

Docks also organizes cultural events such as Relax concerts and school concerts.

Docks also organizes art exhibitions in its lobby.

 

WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE?

The Docks building is a large, gray, industrial building.

There is an entrance hall, a large room on the first floor and a gallery upstairs.

The Docks stage is in the main hall.

There are poles in the entrance hall and in the main hall.

The gallery is accessible by stairs.

The audience remains standing during the concerts.

The Docks can welcome up to a thousand people per concert.

 

HOW DO I GET A TICKET FOR A CONCERT?

To buy a ticket, you can use an online ticketing service.

Docks works with Petzi and See Tickets.

You will find links to these ticket offices on the TICKETS page. It is also possible to buy tickets in physical stores.

Tickets can also be purchased at our ticket desk.

Our ticket desk is open Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 12pm and 1.30pm to 6pm.


HOW TO GET THERE?

Docks are located in the Sévelin district of Lausanne.

The Sévelin district is quite close to the Flon district.

There are metro and bus stops fairly close to Docks.

 

METRO

You can get to Docks on the M1 metro by getting off at the Vigie stop.

From Vigie, take the stairs down and walk for five minutes.

 

You can reach Docks with the M1 metro by getting off at Montelly.

From Montelly, it’s a 10-minute walk.

 

BUS

You can get to Docks by bus on lines 16 or 17.

 

With line 16, get off at the Belvédère stop.

From Belvédère, walk about 10 minutes.

 

With line 17, get off at EPSIC.

From EPSIC, take the elevator or stairs and walk five minutes.

 

CAR

There are few parking spaces in the neighborhood.

To park in a large parking lot, you have to go to Flon or Montbenon.

There is a PMR parking space at Avenue de Sévelin number eight.

 

ON FOOT

Docks is next to the Base Bar and very close to the La Fièvre skatepark.

There is an elevator from rue de Sébeillon.

Stairs lead up from the Vigie metro station.

 

HOW DOES A CONCERT WORK?

Doors open about an hour before the concert begins.

You need to show your ticket and pass through security to enter the venue.

The audience sometimes comes early to get a drink.

Then there is the first concert, called the opening act.

There is a break between the first part and the main concert.

Then there is the main concert, which lasts about an hour and a half.

At the end, people leave quickly or stay for a drink.

Concerts start at the time indicated on the site.

During concerts, the sound is loud and the lights can have intense effects.

During concerts, you can be quite close to other people in the audience.

During concerts, people dance, clap, sing and shout.

As a reminder, Docks is a standing-room-only venue.
