Her new project, Creature of Habit, explores the routines of everyday life with that superb, piercing insight we’ve come to expect from her. Introspective lyrics, a calm voice, and a revival of country rock (with a touch of pop). On the cover, a praying mantis stares at us – a nod to the track Mantis – just like the one the artist once found on her door; a seemingly chance encounter, yet one that deeply inspired her for this album.
