With his new album INERTIA (release: Sept. 5), grandson seems to want to encourage people to free themselves. But from what? From energies accumulated for no reason, unfounded beliefs, injustices, a lack of tolerance, systems that no longer work. The artist has always used his music—an unstoppable mix of rock, electro, and rap—to shake things up, like a revolution in action. But here, he goes a step further. Freeing oneself in order to move forward and break out of inertia. This promises to be exciting live.
Formed in Baltimore, Pinkshift went viral in 2020 with their song i’m gonna tell my therapist on you. The band had been together for a year at that point, having met at Johns Hopkins University: Ashrita, Paul and then Myron.
